Rx Palm Centro

The Palm Centro might be just what the doctor ordered. Rumors and what appear to be actual promo shots of the Palm Centro have leaked onto the nets. The device is said to run Sprint’s fast and reliable EV-DO service and powered by a new Linux based OS rather than the tired Palm OS or Windows Mobile that many have become accustomed to. The smaller and lighter smartphone is reportedly going to be announced in October and will be priced at $99.00. The handset has a very un-Palm like form factor and could have easily fallen off of the HTC truck. The device couldn’t have arrived soon enough for Palm as many have basically been writing eulogies for company that started it all. We look forward to its arrival and couldn’t be happier about what seems to be a very nice device for the budget minded US consumer and may breathe some life back into our dear friend.
